Day 3- Drive, Drive, Drive
The day started off with packing up before breakfast underneath the hot sun. After getting things almost all the way packed up we went inside for breakfast before loading up and driving to Ely. The drive was pretty uneventful, mama called a campsite to see if they had space for our trailer. We stopped in Grand Rapids to get some sandwich stuff before hitting the road again. We made it to our campsite right around 4:00 ( we left the Mickunas farm at 10:30) it took mama a few tries to back up the trailer and daddy ended up backing it in. We got the trailer set up and made Fajitas on the new cook stove. It was still pretty hot outside and Kate, Lily and I decided we wanted to go swimming down at the lake, we got our swimsuits and walked down to the beach. Daddy went swimming with us ( he waded in the water for a while and then went under and came up saying “I have chosen very poorly”). We swam for about 2 hours before heading back to the trailer. The water is so weird to look at, because of all the Iron, the water is reddish. There are so many painted turtles up here ! We saw 3 on the road, 1 in our campsite and quite a few in the lake.
