Day 1
The day started off with quite a few last minute errands before geting the truck cleaned out and hooked up to the trailer. It was a little hectic as getting everything in place for a long trip and making sure that we didn’t forget anything goes, but we made it out of the driveway (a little later than we had hoped). Before we left our Papa and Nana came up to drop off a watch and give us some of Papa’s birthday carrot cake, and we helped them move a few things out of the garage and into their car before heading out. Our first stop was in St. Cloud to pick up a decal for the trailer from Fast Signs ( they do a wonderful job). Our next stop was in Little Falls to dump out our tanks from Memorial Day Weekend, that was a learning experience (it was DISGUSTING). There was a contest for the rest of the drive to see who could make their beef jerky last the longest, Lily and Dad both still had quite a bit when we pulled into the Mickunas farm. We got their around 9:00. We visited with them and their neighbor Sequoia for a while before we went back to the trailer for bed.
